Saint John The Theologian Orthodox Mission was established by the Orthodox Church in America's Archdiocese of Washington in October of 2018 to explore the possibility of founding an Orthodox church in southwestern Fairfax County, Virginia.
The Orthodox Church is the original Christian Church, founded by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Her history can be traced in unbroken continuity all the way back to Christ and his twelve Apostles.
At Saint John's, you'll find people of different ethnic backgrounds, converts to Orthodoxy, "cradle" Orthodox, and non-Orthodox alike.
